Overview

Responsible for planning supply for commercial and near-commercial programs, including supply of API, excipients, labeling/ packaging materials, drug products, and finished goods. Oversee all aspects of commercial drug substance, excipients, labeling/packaging materials, dedicated equipment spare parts, drug products, and finished goods supply planning, capacity planning, production scheduling and execution, logistics, and risk management for commercial products

Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee all aspects of 3PL operations including distribution and inventory management while working closely with finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate reporting
  • Oversee and actively manage relationships with API and finished goods Contract Manufacturing Organizations to ensure production and inventory targets are communicated and met
  • Partner with internal manufacturing team to ensure drug substance and drug product availability, and Commercial Operations team to provide forecast data for inventory maintenance
  • Work closely with commercial and regulatory to actively manage label and secondary package design operations including development, serialization, proof review/approval, and communication to external partners
  • Provide input and data for regulatory filings
  • Actively communicate, collaborate with, and contribute to other functional areas including commercial operations, regulatory, quality assurance, CMC, finance, and external partners and drives to achieve the best business results for the company
  • Provide support to CMC and R&D programs
  • Support clinical supply chain activities, as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree – technical or scientific discipline
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in commercial labeling/packaging and logistics/distribution
  • Experience working with 3PLs and CMOs
  • Up to 30% travel
