Overview

Manager, Sales Training  will work closely with other members of the Training Team and cross functionally with various commercial team members to develop and implement learning initiatives that meet the strategic needs and goals of the commercial organization. This position will be accountable for developing, Med Legal Review, managing and delivering all training initiatives assigned.  In addition this role will be directly involved in the administration and coordination of training activities, as well as coordinating, coaching, and providing support to new field sales specialists.  Training and content areas that the this role will be involved with include: 

  • New Hire and Advanced training programs
  • Customer engagement and coaching models,
  • Product, market, and disease state
  • Operations and system training
  • Commercial policies and compliance
  • POA and field meeting training support
  • Leadership and manager development

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective training solutions
  • Implement employee development programs to support corporate business objectives.
  • Partner and manage relationships with internal resources and provide training for in-house employees as directed.
  • Work across boundaries with all commercial teams to ensure their learning needs are met
  • Regularly work and ride in the field to assist in identifying trends and initiatives that require learning support
  • Work closely with the other Training Managers within the department to coordinate activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of three (3) or more years of life sciences experience
  • Minimum three years of successful sales experience
  • Field training experience preferred
  • Pain market and sales experience preferred
  • Ability to act independently and to take initiative with minimal supervision from manager.
  • Ability to coach and teach others providing constructive feedback
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, follow up, and workload planning skills.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication (written & oral) skills
  • The ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Understanding of adult learning strategy, engagement, and execution
  • Technology focused interest and experience
  • Excellent judgment and decision making capability
  • Detail and quality oriented
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks under time constraints.
