    The Company:

    Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development of innovative treatments for chronic pain, is actively seeking an Manager, FP&A to join our rapidly-growing team in Canton, MA. This individual must be ready for the challenges and responsibilities that come from working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. 

    Role:

    He/she will be responsible for primary interface with Department Heads as it pertains to Annual Financial Planning, Strategic Planning, Forecasting, Reporting, and Analysis. Lead the Group’s Annual Operating Plan process and financial forecast for the Strategic Plan. Direct planning and forecast activities and provide executive management with reports and analysis.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with the business in monitoring expenses and providing budget owners visibility to spending trends, financial commitments and progress against goals; actively help the budget owners manage their spend to plan
    • Partner with Organizational Leaders in reviewing business functions' financial results following each month and quarter end financial close; provide explanation and support of variances of actual to budget/forecast
    • Prepare monthly financial and operational reporting package with commentary 
    • Identify opportunities to improve current processes to eliminate 'data entry' and focus on the analytics transforming data into information
    • Partner with others in Finance & Accounting to ensure effective utilization of systems, application of excel models/tools, reporting and information sharing, and overall compliance with internal controls
    • Support broader organization through ad hoc projects and analysis
    • Work with various business functions in reviewing annual financial targets or 
      goals, analysis, and measurement in order to meet expense management

    Qualifications

    Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.  Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations

    • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience;
    • Demonstrated strong collaborative and leadership skills and effective in working with cross-functional team members
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with bottoms-up detailed analysis
    • Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with financial analytics and modeling
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

    Compensation:

    An attractive compensation package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate.
