Overview

Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development of innovative treatments for chronic pain, is actively seeking an Manager, Accounting to join our rapidly-growing team in Canton, MA. This individual must be ready for the challenges and responsibilities that come from working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the SEC Reporting and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance processes
  • Enhance current SOX compliance practices with support from consultants and colleagues
  • Manage external financial quarterly reviews and year-end audits
  • Take ownership of identifying, disclosing and adopting ASU’s that impact the Company, including revenue recognition and lease accounting
  • Assist management in concluding on more involved accounting areas, including those which involve significant judgment and technical expertise
  • Prepare and review various SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K’s) and related analyses, footnotes, disclosures and other support
  • Identify opportunities to develop and utilize analytics that transform data into information
  • Partner with other departments to ensure effective utilization of systems, application of Excel models/tools, reporting and information sharing, and overall compliance with internal controls
  • Form good relationships with colleagues from all other functions: FP&A, Legal, HR, IT, R&D, Operations, Sales & Marketing and more. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 4+ years of experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Demonstrate strong collaborative and leadership skills and effective in working with cross-functional team members
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and demonstrate ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed analysis
  • Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with financial analytics and modeling
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and perform within deadlines
