    The Intellectual Property Counsel is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for developing, leveraging and protecting the Company’s IP and assessing and mitigating IP-related risks.



    • Manage patent prosecution efforts, including coordination with outside counsel and evaluation of R&D efforts suitable for IP protection;
    • Collaborate with General Counsel and other stakeholders to develop and implement IP litigation strategy;
    • Support pending IP litigation matters, including coordination with outside counsel;
    • Participate in risk assessments relating to IP and develop strategies to mitigate IP risk;
    • Review and advise Company on IP-related provisions in commercial contracts; and Participate in budgeting process in relation to outside counsel and other legal costs.



    • Must have 4+ years of experience in patent prosecution
    • Background (B.Sc. or advanced degree) in Chemistry or related discipline
    • Detail oriented
    • The candidate must be admitted to the Patent Bar
    • Strong communication skills and judgment
    • Intellectual curiosity, creativity and pragmatism
    • Has exceptional qualitative and analytical/quantitative skills
    • Works with diverse stakeholders and builds strong, collaborative relationships.

    • JD required; some law firm experience, and any experience with patent litigation, a plus
