The Director, Market Access Strategy will manage the development of Collegium’s pricing and access strategy at a national, sub-national, and payer level. This role will lead the implementation of key tactics supporting broad and profitable access for the product portfolio. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure alignment of messaging and pull-through of that messaging into market access-specific tools and resources. This role will work closely with the Market Access and field teams to facilitate push and pull-through initiatives as a result of payer formulary decisions.

  • Manage development of US access and pricing strategy to ensure broad and profitable access to Collegium’s therapies
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of access programs, resources, and push/pull-through tactics with payers and strategic accounts
  • Collaborate with Medical and Market Access Operations to refresh and update clinical data into value message development for payers
  • Lead development of annual brand plan from a market access perspective, while ensuring alignment with the brand teams
  • Lead business planning process, strategic action plan readouts, and executive exchange coordination, in addition to other initiatives, as needed
  • Lead strategy and content development related to payers and reimbursement for sales meetings, congresses, and trade shows
  • Collaborate with Marketing brand leads to ensure alignment on strategy, implementation of promotional programs, and push/pull-through opportunities
  • Manage the regulatory and legal approval process for market access tactics and deliverables
  • Contribute to special projects related to access, pricing, contracting, and trade

  • Bachelor’s degree required, plus a minimum of 8-10 years of experience required with 3-5 years of Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or consulting experience related to market access required
  • Background in pricing and reimbursement, including a strong understanding of health care delivery and payment/insurance systems in the US
  • Advanced business and financial acumen skills with the ability to apply them productively in lateral and superior relationships; detailed oriented, strong quantitative and analytical ability
  • Proven ability to use customer and marketplace insights to identify, develop and implement initiatives that meet customer and company needs
  • Experience managing key commercial processes that are critical to business performance, including brand planning and positioning, value proposition development, pricing and reimbursement strategy, and life cycle management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills, with experience managing multiple projects against a timeline
  • Ability to lead and coach cross-functional teams
  • Strong communicator with experience working in a collaborative decision-making environment and building advocacy for one’s perspective through data analytics and networking
  • Experience managing internal project teams and external vendors
