POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will support the annual financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis. This role will work with the FP&A team to partner with the business on the annual operating plan process and financial forecast. This position will participate in forecasting, reporting and analysis activities.

• Support reporting of financial results and comparisons to budgets, including variance analyses and development of presentation materials.
• Assistance to FP&A team in terms of budget reporting, tracking expenses and problem solving.
• Play key role in the monthly close process, including the reconciliation of transactions, and working with project owners to develop monthly accruals. 
• Support the budget process through interaction with finance and functional colleagues.
• Support development and implementation of financial process improvements including ways of leveraging corporate financial capabilities.
• Assist in creating documentation of finance processes, and controls
• Run various report queries from ERP system and complete analysis on spend by vendor, by spend classification, etc.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant discipline
• 3 years of overall business work experience, with some work experience or demonstrated facility with financial planning and analysis, or business partnering/project management.
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting is preferred
• General understanding of accounting and GAAP/IFRS accounting principles
• Strong analytical skills and ability to balance strategic thinking with bottoms-up detailed analysis
• Proficiency with NetSuite or equivalent financial system required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
